The Rhythm You Can't See Yet

The rhythm arrives after you do.

When we venture into the unknown or enter a new season of life, we often try to predict exactly how it will feel.

A move.
A new job.
Retirement.
A new relationship.
A growing business.

We imagine the schedule, but rarely predict the actual rhythm.

Some changes feel lighter than expected.
Others require more energy than anticipated.

Sometimes we only discover the rhythm by living it.

I'm experiencing that lesson right now.

As I consider a new coaching engagement, I know my weekly routine will change.
What I don't know yet is how it will feel.

The commitment is real, touching far more than the hours on my calendar.
My future rhythm is still unknown.

I need to live it first.

Perhaps that's true of every meaningful change.

We can plan the structure.
The rhythm reveals itself along the way.
