One Word Check-In
Remember your word? Mine is Engage.
We're halfway through the year. It's a great time to pause, reflect, and recommit to the word you chose for 2026.
For me, Engage shows up in small, intentional actions rather than big declarations. It has looked like starting instead of waiting. Engage arrives as a choice.
👍 Reaching out to one of my kids when connection mattered, even though the moment felt ordinary or inconvenient.
👍 Sitting down to review something important for my family rather than pushing it off until "later."
👍 Following through on a meaningful request instead of letting it linger on my to-do list.
👍 Taking a small next action even when energy felt low or timing felt imperfect.
👍 Moving forward with a new coaching engagement even when some details remained unclear, trusting that clarity would emerge through conversation and action.
Engage doesn't ask for perfection. It asks for participation.
One thing I've noticed about choosing a word is how it starts in one area of life and gradually shows up in others.
Didn't pick a word in January? It's not too late. Start by asking: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸? Then let that guide your word for the rest of the year.
